According to reports, the impact of the OPEC+ agreement on the Russian budget by the end of 2023 reached 20-30 trillion rubles TASS Referring to the words of Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, within the scope of Energy Day at the exhibition and forum “Russia”.

“We have managed to establish very constructive and productive relationships with OPEC+ partners, providing the world with predictability in the global oil market. “Russia’s oil production in 2023 was 531 million tons, and Russia’s oil exports to the Asia-Pacific region in 2023 were 193 million tons,” he said.

Sorokin also noted that Russia will produce 54.3 million gasoline in 2023.

“Over the next five years, we expect to add around 4 million tonnes, which will fully cover Russia’s future gasoline needs,” Sorokin added.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev stated that the OPEC+ agreement brought an additional 30 trillion rubles to the Russian budget, and the volume of assets frozen abroad exceeded $ 300 billion.

Dmitriev also emphasized that the OPEC+ agreement is “one of the most important agreements for the world community in the last 20 years.”

“This result was achieved thanks to Russia’s constructive cooperation with Saudi Arabia and other OPEC member countries,” Dmitriev said.
