The Libyan National Oil Company (NOC) declared force majeure in the largest Al-Sharara field due to the complete halt of oil production as a result of the actions of the protesters. This was reported by TASS.
The publication states that force majeure was declared as of January 7, as a result of the closure of the field by protesters.
The company noted that the supply of crude oil to Zawiya port has stopped completely. NOC is currently negotiating to resume oil production.
