The General Confederation of French Beet Growers (CGB) has called for the re-export of Ukrainian sugar outside Europe. This was reported by Bloomberg.

“French beet producers are demanding that Ukraine’s growing sugar imports be re-exported outside Europe to avoid harm to local producers,” the report said.
According to the association, the volume of Ukraine’s sugar imports to the EU may reach 800 thousand tons in 2023-2034. The European Commission assessed that the figures would be twice as high as in the previous season.
