Exporters will pay about 50 billion rubles monthly to the budget in the fourth quarter of this year and next year in the form of “foreign exchange tax”, which was introduced by government decree on October 1. The publication states that budget revenues for the fourth quarter of 2023 and next year will be 755 billion rubles. Of these, 151.6 billion rubles are in 2023, and the remaining 604.25 billion rubles are in 2024.
The agency emphasizes that the relevant duty was introduced during this period.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov had previously stated that Russia’s federal budget deficit would fall to the projected range of 2% of GDP in 2023. He also assured that a responsible approach to financing will be maintained in the coming years and that all obligations and priorities will be unconditionally financed.
