High-tech fuel terminal was put into service in the Tyumen region 11:21

Gazprom Neft has completed the modernization of the Turinsky fuel terminal in the Tyumen region, according to the company’s press service. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Gazprom Neft General Manager Alexander Dyukov and Tyumen Region Governor Alexander Moor attended the opening of the facility.

The new terminal will be capable of handling almost half of the fuel the region needs, providing a continuous supply to retail fuel station networks and small wholesale customers. The volume of Gazprom Neft’s investments in the project exceeded 5.3 billion rubles.

It is stated that during the modernization, an expanded tank farm was built, thanks to which the annual transfer volume of oil products doubled to 600 thousand tons. A two-way overpass with a capacity of 48 tankers per day was put into service to receive fuel from railway transportation. Loading into fuel tankers is carried out through a closed fuel supply system.

The process is completely automatic and the loading time of tankers has been reduced by 3 times from 1 hour to 20 minutes. In this way, the terminal can serve up to 90 fuel tankers per day.

As Novak notes, a developed sales network is the basis for providing automobile fuel to retail customers, industrial and transport enterprises.

“The terminals themselves play an important role in this logistics fuel supply system. Therefore, it is important that these facilities in the regions of the country are modern and high-tech. “The new fuel terminal in the Tyumen region is an excellent example of the application of such industrial technologies and logistics solutions,” he said.

In turn, Dyukov emphasized the creation of an almost new high-tech complex at the Turin oil depot site that meets the highest environmental requirements and industrial safety standards.

“At the same time, the transfer capacity of petroleum products has been doubled. “The terminal will provide high-quality motor fuel to customers of retail gas station networks, industrial, agricultural and social enterprises of both the Tyumen region and the neighboring Kurgan and Sverdlovsk regions,” he said.
