The MTS digital ecosystem provided mobile communications and high-speed mobile Internet to two new stations of the Solntsevskaya line of the Moscow metro, the first station in Russia to connect the metro with the airport. This was reported by the press service of the company.
The mobile communication network at Vnukovo Airport and Pykhtino stations, which opened on September 6, will allow a maximum number of passengers to use mobile voice services and the internet from the first days of the stations’ operation. In the first hours when the new stations started operating, the average data transfer rate on the platforms approached 180 Mbps, while the peak exceeded 474 Mbps.
“Vnukovo Airport” is the first station of the Moscow metro, which connects the metro with the air gates of the capital. Considering the importance of this section of the Solntsevskaya line for the connection of the transport infrastructure of the Moscow region, we are launching the first phase of our network simultaneously with the commissioning of new stations,” said Vladislav Medvedev, head coach of the Moscow region, of MTS.
According to him, subscribers will now be able to freely use high-quality voice services, high-speed mobile Internet and digital services with stable signal and wide coverage.
