The press release stated that it will issue colored plated silver coins with a face value of 3 rubles and colored and plain plated common metal coins with a face value of 25 rubles. The Central Bank stated that this coin is legal tender in Russia.
Smeshariki are round inhabitants of the Romashkova Valley from the animated series of the same name, the first series of which was released in 2003.
Earlier on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent Congratulations to the creative team of the animated series “Smeshariki” on the 20th anniversary of the project. The President noted the professionalism of the authors of the project, their significant contribution to the education of the younger generation and the relevance of the issues raised, and also thanked the creative team for maintaining the traditions of domestic animation.
