The Japanese brand Toyota ranks first in the world’s best-selling automobile rankings. says In the Focus2Move report, the manufacturer ranks first for the tenth consecutive year.
As of May 2024, Toyota had sold 3.6 million vehicles. Second place went to German brand Volkswagen, which sold about 2 million cars. Honda came in third (1.6 million units), and Ford came in fourth (1.5 million units). South Korean Hyundai came in fifth, selling the same amount. Nissan came in sixth (1.3 million). Seventh and eighth places were taken by Chevrolet (1.3 million) and Kia (1.2 million).
BYD ranked ninth with 1.1 million units. BMW closed the top 10 with 944 thousand car sales.

Ford F-Series has been consistently in first place for more than 40 years: in 2023 its sales increased by 13.4%, reaching 901 thousand units. Thanks to this, Ford pickups were able to occupy 14.5% of the global market. In second place is the Chevrolet Silverado, which began to be bought 6.6% more often compared to 2022 – the number of cars sold amounted to 640 thousand.
