Automotive bloggers in the US found a Ford Mustang that had been sitting dormant in a barn for 44 years. Video about the car published Authors of Life’s Endeavors YouTube channel.
In Denver, Colorado, the owner of a first-generation Ford Mustang parked his convertible in a barn in 1979 and never drove it again. According to the blogger, the owner of the sports car turned out to be his friend’s grandmother, who decided to move to Wyoming and part with the car.
The warehouse-built Ford Mustang is powered by a 3.3-liter inline-six engine that produced 120 hp when new. (258 Nm). As the channel host noted, for a car that spent so much time sitting still, the Mustang was in very good shape with factory paint, virtually no signs of corrosion on the body, and the sunroof remained intact. At the same time, the interior of the convertible was badly damaged by mice, and the cabin floor was full of holes from rust. To get the car out of the barn, the blogger had to dismantle the wall. He hopes to restore the car.
