The trailer of the movie “The Master and Margarita” starring Evgeny Tsyganov and Yulia Snigir has been released. It was published Kinopoisk.
The video revealed that Pontius Pilate will be played by actor Claes Bang (“Dracula”), while Yeshua Ha-Nozri will be played by Aaron Vodovoz (“King’s Man: The Beginning”). According to the plot of the film, a famous writer finds himself in the middle of a literary scandal: a performance based on his play is canceled and his colleagues return. Then the writer meets a new muse and, losing touch with reality, begins to write a novel about the mysterious Woland. The action takes place in Moscow in the 1930s.
Filming took place in the summer of 2021. The project was directed by Mikhail Lokshin (“Silver Skates”). Initially, the film was supposed to be directed by Nikolai Lebedev (“Legend Number 17”, “The Crew”), but due to financial problems and the epidemic he could not continue work.
The premiere of the film is planned to be held on January 25, 2024.
