Swedish scientists from the University of Goteborg found that children’s growth models can estimate the growth of adolescence and adulthood in the first two years of life. The study was published scientifically magazine Pediatric research (Pedres).
The team analyzed the data of 4,700 people from the Kohort work by Growup Gothenburg, born between 1974-1990.
38% of the differences in adolescence were explained by early development, 67% of the difference in adult growth were due to growth dynamics in childhood, 60% of the birth size and the average growth of parents.
