Traffic police identify areas where the worst accidents occur

Accidents with the most severe consequences in 2021 were recorded in Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Adygea, Ingushetia and the Trans-Baikal Territory, after data from the traffic police statistical report 2021 (available on socialbites.ca).

“Despite the downward trend in accident rates throughout Russia, there is an increase in the number of deaths in 25 regions. Most notably Adygea (+16.5), Karelia (+26.1%), Mari El (+17.6%), Sevastopol (+37.5%), Astrakhan (+14.3%), Kostroma (+63.6%) and Magadan republics (+27.8%) regions”, the document emphasizes.

According to the agency, a death rate of 22.3 per 100 traffic accident victims was recorded last year in the Chechen Republic, in Kabardino-Balkaria – 15.9, in Adygea – 15.7, in Ingushetia – 15.1.

On average, 14 people out of every hundred victims (both dead and wounded are taken into account) died in 2021 in accidents in the Trans-Baikal Territory, Chukotka, as well as in the Bryansk and Rostov regions.
