Mercedes-Benz updates GLE and GLE Coupe crossovers

mercedes-benz introduced Redesigned versions of the GLE crossover family. The cars received a new version of the proprietary MBUX media system, as well as rechargeable hybrid versions and new diesel engines with a starter generator with a separate 48-volt onboard system.

The changes in the appearance of the crossovers turned out to be significant: in particular, the design of the radiator grille was slightly adjusted, and the headlights received new optical elements, while maintaining the same shape. Touch buttons appeared on the steering wheel to control the media system.

The manufacturer emphasizes that all the power plants of the cars are electric: some use “mild” hybrid technology with a 48-volt starter generator, which can store energy and assist the internal combustion engine during braking.

The product range also includes rechargeable hybrid models. The greatest increase in power (with 40 hp) was received by the GLE 400 e 4Matic modification. In this version, the total power of the power plant, consisting of a 2.0 gasoline turbo engine and a 136 hp electric motor, is 380 hp.

It was previously known that Mazda. introduced the new flagship crossover CX-90.
