The safest cars in 2022: they deserve the highest ratings

EuroNCAP, an organization that performs crash tests on cars for the European market, has listed the safest cars from last year’s tests.

In the Large Family Car category, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 came out on top with an exceptionally high score (97%) for adult occupant protection.

In the category of small SUVs and crossovers, the Tesla Model Y is recognized as the safest among executive cars – Tesla Model S.

Also among the leaders in ensuring safety were two cars of Chinese brands. Of the small family cars, Ora Funky Cat received the highest rating, while Wey Coffee 01 won against the large SUVs.

“After some less successful attempts to penetrate the European market in the past, several manufacturers are demonstrating that Chinese brands can now compete on safety with established European brands,” the report said.
