Yantar car unveiled in Kaliningrad12:04

In Kaliningrad, they presented the design of an urban electric car under development at Avtotor. On the images from the factory presentation broadcast on the Telegram channel “Amber DLB”, he drew attention portal “Drom”.

The working name of the electric car is Yantar. The car depicted in the sketches has a single-volume three-door body and a four-seater saloon. The total length of the electric car is about 3 meters. The presentation says that the main frame of the body is made of molded aluminum parts and high-strength aluminum-magnesium alloy profiles, which are connected by laser welding.

The front body panels are made of polypropylene and polycarbonate. According to the authors of the project, the body weighs 106 kg, while it is 79% recyclable. It was noted that the traction battery (37%) and the body (21%) accounted for the largest share in the cost of the car. The car was created using the Russian component base.

Already in “Avtotor” before reportedplans to manufacture electric motors and compact electric cars for young people.
