Liberal Democratic Party proposes to expand liability for driving under the influence of certain drugs 02:06

Yaroslav Nilov, deputy head of the faction in the State Duma, telegraph channel spoke about the party’s proposal to expand liability for driving under the influence of certain drugs that impair attention.

“As promised, following the Constitutional Court Decision, Article 12.8 of the Administrative Offenses Law. An initiative was prepared to fill the legislative gap in the footnote of the article. Therefore, the use of potent drugs cannot equate to a state of alcoholic intoxication with all the ensuing consequences, ”writes Nilov.

In the explanatory note to the bill, LDPR deputies note that there is a loophole in the legislative practice that prevents violators from being brought to administrative responsibility – we are talking about drugs that do not contain ethyl alcohol or narcotic (psychotropic) substances, but this reduces the attention and reaction of the driver.

Previously recognizedRussia may allow online sale of prescription drugs.
