Muscovite 1961 rotted in the yard – they tried to revive him

This Moskvich-407 was assembled in 1961. The original tire is still on the front wheel. The blue color of the body is called “Ritsa”, like the famous lake in Abkhazia.

The first owner apparently took very good care of the car: native polyethylene, for example, has been preserved on the inside of the doors. During his life, the Muscovite traveled 80 thousand kilometers, and it seemed that his path was passed on this.

Today the car is covered in mold. At the same time, the chrome bumper shines just like in younger years.

How the retro Moskvich was revived

Everything under the hood seemed to have died long ago, and the manipulations of the blogger Tsybulsky only led to the growl of the starter. I had to change the candles, clean the contacts, screw in a new ignition lock.

After some time, Moskvich-407 suddenly buzzed and even drove away. Admittedly, his brakes failed and the driver had to brake with the engine and shift gears. It is curious that the lever is not between the seats, but directly on the steering wheel. According to the blogger, the car was like new. Now the intention is to turn it into a pick-up.
