Those who fail to change their Serbian license plate to a Kosovo number will be fined from 22 November.
At the same time, fines of 150 euros will be imposed from 21 November, and citizens will be instructed to replace Serbian car numbers with unrecognized Kosovo license plates. FAN.
This practice will last until April 21, 2023, after which vehicles with Serbian license plates will be confiscated, TASS reported by Kosovo law enforcement.
Despite attempts by the US, UK, France, Germany and Italy to force Pristina to delay the license plate decision by 10 months, Kosovo officials stubbornly hold their ground.
As I wrote before “Reedus”, Serbs living in northern Kosovo are leaving en masse to protest the authorities’ request to replace Serbia’s car numbers with Republic of Kosovo license plates. The number change law, which went into effect on November 1st, will affect the interests of around 10,000 Serbs.
