The thermostat had to be replaced again. The first kept the temperature 8 degrees below the set temperature, which led to insufficient heating of the engine and excessive fuel consumption.
Together with the thermostat I bought an improved aluminum pipe. New parts fell into place as native parts, ensuring optimum temperature and tightness. I’ll tell you more about keeping the temperature warm after the winter.
They put in a metal pipe instead of the old plastic one.
At the same time, I checked the condition of the old plastic pipe. And I found that the mating plane led about 0.5mm. The reason is the lack of rigidity of the plastic part… and three previous thermostat replacements. With such curvature, even a new gasket could not provide tightness.
