The Passenger Car Production company revealed two crossovers and a sedan under a revived Volga badge at the Nizhny Novgorod fair, with production slated at facilities rented from the Gorky Automobile Plant. This detail comes from a report by TASS, citing Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
According to Manturov, the new Volga models will roll off the line within the Nizhny Novgorod automobile cluster. He described the project as being carried out by Passenger Car Production JSC, an independent entity that leases space from GAZ facilities for manufacturing.
The deputy prime minister also noted that the price points for the vehicles from the new production line would be disclosed once production begins.
In addition to the Volga K30 and K40 crossovers, the Volga C40 sedan was showcased at the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod. The cars display a distinctive front-end design that strongly resembles products from the Chinese brand Changan. Reportage by socialbites.ca provided a detailed look at Volga’s market entry timeline and offered preliminary price estimates.
