In St. Petersburg, a fatal incident occurred when a man was struck by two vehicles in succession, according to the local Main Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.
The event unfolded on the 10th kilometer of the WHSD highway. A 34-year-old man, a resident of one of the Central Asian states, stood beside a stationary KamAZ on the roadway. A Kia Soul collided with him first, followed moments later by a Hyundai Solaris that drove over him. The second vehicle driver fled the scene, leaving witnesses concerned and authorities alerted.
After the crash, the Kia Soul driver notified emergency services and police. The Hyundai Solaris driver was apprehended on Kantemirovskaya Street roughly thirty minutes after the incident. Authorities established that the Hyundai operator had previously lost his driver’s license for eighteen months. According to Nevsky News, the deceased had arrived in Russia for a private visit two months prior to the tragedy.
Earlier reports indicated a separate incident in Kaluga where a local resident damaged another person’s vehicle at a cost of 400 thousand rubles in response to a statement from the vehicle owner.
