Sollers has begun selling Argo and Atlant light commercial vehicles in Russia, according to reports cited by TASS via the company’s chief executive, Nikolai Sobolev.
Prices for the Sollers Argo with a diesel engine begin at 2.5 million rubles, while the Sollers Atlant starts from 2.9 million rubles. At these prices buyers receive an all-metal diesel van with a short wheelbase and a mid-height roof, designed for urban and regional cargo tasks.
The base configuration of the vehicles includes practical features such as air conditioning, a factory audio system, front airbags for both the driver and passenger, and an anti-lock braking system, ensuring a level of safety and comfort aligned with modern commercial vans.
Across the Atlant lineup, a semi-hooded version with a gross vehicle weight ranging from 2.5 to 4.2 tons is offered with a 139 horsepower diesel powertrain. In contrast, the Argo presents as a more compact cabin vehicle with a gross weight from 2.5 to 3.5 tons, available with a diesel engine producing 130 horsepower or a gasoline option delivering 147 horsepower. These powertrain choices aim to match varied urban delivery needs, balancing payload capacity and fuel economy for fleet operators and independent couriers alike.
In related industry news, Evolute, another Russian automaker, has announced the launch of a mobile application that enables remote control of many vehicle functions, signaling a broader push toward connected features in commercial mobility. This development underscores a growing emphasis on digital tools to streamline fleet management and maintenance, alongside traditional performance and reliability considerations.
