Skywell HT-i Hybrid Crossover to Reach Russian Market by June and Its Top-Trim Specifications
Brand representatives have confirmed that the Skywell HT-i hybrid crossover will hit the Russian market before the end of June 2023. They also outlined the equipment list for the fully equipped version, signaling Skywell’s ambition to position the model as a competitive option in the growing hybrid segment.
The HT-i pairs a 32.8 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery with a powertrain designed for efficiency and longer trips. In electric-only mode, the vehicle can cover up to 145 kilometers on a single charge. When combined with a full fuel tank and a charged battery, the vehicle’s total range extends to about 1,267 kilometers, giving drivers versatility for longer journeys without frequent recharges.
In terms of fuel economy, the most capable variant of the HT-i promises a combined consumption rate of under one liter of AI-92 gasoline per 100 kilometers when the battery is fully charged. With a discharged battery, the consumption rises to around 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers. These figures illustrate Skywell’s attempt to balance electric range with the flexibility of a conventional fuel engine for extended travel.
The HT-i’s powertrain combines a 103 horsepower 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a 177 horsepower electric motor. This hybrid setup enables the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8.2 seconds and reach a top speed of roughly 170 km/h, delivering a blend of performance and efficiency suitable for daily commuting and weekend getaways alike.
In its flagship configuration, the Skywell HT-i offers a robust feature set designed to enhance safety, convenience, and in-cabin enjoyment. The package includes four panoramic cameras to aid parking and maneuvering, adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition, and a lane-keeping system to assist drivers on busy highways. A parking assistant further eases urban parking challenges. The high-safety equipment list is complemented by six airbags and LED headlights with laser high-beam technology for improved nighttime visibility.
The interior is geared toward comfort and entertainment, with a multimedia system that features a large 12.8-inch display, a nine-speaker audio system, and a subwoofer. This configuration aims to provide a well-rounded driving experience with ample connectivity and audio quality for occupants, making long trips more enjoyable.
Earlier reports indicate that Skywell has already started selling ET5 electric crossovers in Russia in a newly updated configuration. The updated lineup carries a price tag of 5.05 million rubles, signaling Skywell’s willingness to invest in premium features and a stronger presence in the Russia market. This move underscores the manufacturer’s strategy to broaden its electric and hybrid offerings while catering to local preferences and driving conditions.
