Sevastopol Bus Driver Sought in Case Involving a 12-Year-Old Girl
A bus driver in Sevastopol is believed to have assaulted a 12-year-old girl, with reports circulating about the alleged rape. Authorities have announced that the driver is now being sought by the police in connection with the incident, which allegedly occurred on a city bus route.
According to the victim, the ordeal unfolded as she was returning from a theater group activity aboard bus number 1. At the final stop, Ulitsa Generala Zhidilova, she went to the driver to pay for her fare. In that moment, the doors of the bus cabin reportedly slammed shut and the man began to harass her. The girl managed to break free, exit the bus, and run home. She later told her parents that this had not been the first time such behavior had occurred.
The family immediately filed a police report. A manhunt for the driver was launched and he was placed on a wanted list as investigators pursue further leads.
In a separate incident, a truck collided with a passenger bus in the Voronezh region that was carrying 43 children. The collision left the bus driver and his replacement injured and hospitalized, while the children and four accompanying adults escaped unharmed. The other passengers were rerouted to their destination in Voronezh on a different bus later that day.
Earlier reports noted that a former high-level executive at Rosbank was involved in a significant traffic accident in Moscow. This update underscores ongoing concerns about public safety and serious incidents involving large passenger groups.
Authorities continue to investigate the Sevastopol case, coordinating with local law enforcement and ensuring the affected family receives support. The public is urged to share any information that could assist investigators in locating the suspect and understanding what occurred on that bus ride.
