The law provides a 50 percent reimbursement for the cost of an OSAGO policy. This refers to vehicles assigned by the state for medical reasons to people with disabilities or their legal guardians, as explained by the Department of World Financial Markets and Fintech at PRUE and noted by GV Plekhanova Julia Akhvlediani.

At the same time, the vehicle must be allocated under social protection for privileged populations, and the policy must be paid in full at the outset.

After that initial payment, half of the costs is reimbursed from the Pension Fund (PFR).

The benefit applies to a single car used by a disabled person or their legal representative and is limited to two drivers who are named in the car owner agreement. The amount of the compensation can be checked in the account held by the Rijksdienst.

To apply for the benefits, an application must be submitted to FIU with a complete package of documents. If the policy was issued after January 1, 2022, the benefit is transferred automatically without a separate claim.
