In Nizhny Novgorod, a confrontation unfolded after a Hyundai passenger collided with a pedestrian. The incident was highlighted in the schedule of the television program Meanwhile.
Witnesses describe the episode as taking place on Novikov-Priboy Street, near the point where a shopping center exits onto a crosswalk. A driver who exited the vehicle allegedly struck a pedestrian who was standing near the road, sending him to the asphalt. The pedestrian regrouped, expressed his displeasure, and then faced an attack when the passenger of the car stepped out and began striking him with punches.
One injured man, identified as Dmitry Kozlov, recalled that the other motorist drove him about three meters over the hood and refused to step out. Instead, the passenger got out and initiated the assault, leaving Kozlov with injuries and a shaken sense of safety.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to a hospital for assessment. Medical officials later reported a concussion among the injuries sustained in the collision. The incident prompted traffic police to initiate an investigation to determine fault and chain of events leading to the confrontation.
