Omoda C5 Interior Preview and Exterior Design Details

The Chinese automaker Omoda, a brand under Chery, has released a preview image of the interior for the forthcoming C5 crossover, slated to reach Russian showrooms in the fall of 2022. The preview signals a modern, premium feel inside the cabin, with attention to both comfort and technology that would appeal to contemporary buyers in North America as well as Europe.

Two color themes are planned for the interior, black and brown, giving customers a choice that complements the vehicle’s exterior lines. The front seats are finished in perforated high-quality eco-leather, balancing luxury with sustainability. The driver’s seat offers electric adjustment across six directions, while the front passenger seat provides four-direction adjustment for tailored comfort on longer drives. A prominent, across-the-dash display unit will serve as the central hub for the on-board computer, multimedia, and camera feeds, reinforcing the focal point of the cockpit as a user-friendly command center.

Ambient lighting is a noteworthy feature, with options across 64 colors designed to adapt to driving dynamics and audio rhythms. The C5’s cockpit also centers around a multifunction three-spoke steering wheel, merging control convenience with a sporty touch. Thoughtfully designed storage spaces include a dedicated slot for a key, a compartment for a smartphone, and two cup holders. A 12-volt power outlet and two USB ports are positioned under the console to ensure devices stay charged on the move.

An international design team contributed to the car’s appearance, resulting in a striking exterior identity highlighted by a large radiator grille featuring diamond-pattern cells. In the domestic market within China, the Omoda C5 is priced from 92.9 thousand to 128.9 thousand yuan, varying by version, which translates to a broad range when converted to rubles or other currencies depending on the day’s exchange rate. This pricing reflects a strategy aimed at delivering value through a bold design language and a well-equipped interior that resonates with urban and family buyers alike in diverse markets.

Previously, it was reported that the Chinese company BYD has begun retailing its Denza D9 premium minivan in the domestic arena, underscoring the era’s shift toward stylish, tech-forward family vehicles from multiple brands across the region [industry brief].
