New Rim Design Patented for Lada Vehicles
A patent recently appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property detailing a new rim concept for Lada cars. The documentation does not pin the design to any single model, yet the same style of disc wheel is already seen across several Lada configurations.
In particular, wheels featuring a diamond groove pattern and a four-bolt mounting arrangement can be observed on the Granta Club and Granta Drive Active sedans, the Granta Cross and Largus Cross station wagons, as well as on many versions of the Vesta lineup. The pattern suggests a consistent design language adopted by the manufacturer for multiple body types, aiming at improved visual appeal and shared manufacturing efficiency.
The filing indicates that the supplier behind this wheel concept is expected to be a long-term partner of AvtoVAZ, specifically the Krasnoyarsk-based KiK company. This potential collaboration would align with AvtoVAZ’s strategy to stabilize supply chains and streamline the integration of new wheels across its growing family of models.
