In 2024, MG Motor plans to roll out ten new car models in the Russian market, according to a report from TASS regarding the brand’s distributor in Russia, Mir-Distributor. At this stage, there is no detailed information available about the configurations or pricing of these upcoming models.
The announcement notes that Mir Distributor, the official MG Motor distributor in the Russian Federation, intends to begin selling ten new models in 2024.
According to the statement, MG6 liftback models will reach MG’s Russian dealerships during the first half of 2024, alongside the MG ZS and MG HS crossover lines. Shortly afterward, the HS PHEV, MG RX5, and MG RX9 crossovers are expected to launch, together with the MG7 liftback in the second half of the year. The remaining three new products were not disclosed at that time.
Previously, it was known that the Russian electric vehicle model named Atom had an aerodynamic redesign. The updated design features new wheel arches, revised side mirrors, and an active radiator grille. At the rear, there is an enhanced spoiler and diffuser, while the headlight assembly has been redesigned. The LED daytime running light strip is now contoured differently, and beneath it reside the radar and cameras for the ADAS 2.0+ driver-assistance system.
Additionally, the Russian market is expected to see the launch of seven-seat Chinese crossovers, including the DFSK ix7, in 2024. The vehicle measures 4930 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2810 mm and is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine delivering 231 horsepower.
Earlier reports indicated that sales of the M-Hero I SUV commenced in Russia at a price point of 16 million rubles.
