The Pyaterochka retail network has joined forces with the Mir payment system to launch a nationwide promotion for all Mir cardholders. Shoppers using Mir for purchases at Pyaterochka stores will receive a 10 percent cashback on eligible orders, credited back to the same Mir card used at checkout.

In speaking about the initiative, Pyaterochka’s marketing chief highlighted that Mir has been gaining traction. He noted that a growing share of purchases at Pyaterochka is being paid with Mir cards, reflecting the evolving preferences of customers toward non-cash transactions.

The program targets everyday shopping behavior. Since the start of the year, there has been a noticeable 15 percent rise in guests who opt for Mir for their payments. The collaboration with the Mir system is designed to help millions of Pyaterochka visitors shop with greater profitability, aligning with the retailer’s understanding of consumer needs.

Discount applicability is tied to purchases exceeding 1,500 rubles per receipt across Pyaterochka’s network in regions where the chain operates, with exceptions in Moscow and several adjacent regions. The promotional window runs from June 17 to June 27, 2022. Cashback is issued within 5 to 7 days after the purchase to the exact Mir card used at checkout, ensuring a straightforward refund process.

Cashback in Mir payments has long held popularity in supermarkets and hypermarkets. The promotional effort aims to reinforce that momentum by offering favorable terms to Mir cardholders for consumer goods purchases nationwide. This marks another collaboration with X5 Group retail networks, and the experience from prior campaigns shows that shoppers nationwide have saved substantial sums on in-store Mir transactions.

To participate, Pyaterochka customers must present the Vyruchay-karta loyalty card during payment to trigger the refund. The Mir program also requires registration on the Mir Prepaid interface—either on the private Mir website or via the associated mobile application. The overall cashback cap for the promotion across its duration is 300 rubles, and if multiple Mir cards are used, refunds are calculated separately for each card, ensuring clarity for every cardholder.

Beyond travel benefits across Russia, this collaboration extends Mir cashback to everyday purchases as well. Full terms and eligibility guidelines are published on the Pyaterochka site and the Mir platform portal, and customers are advised to review them to confirm details and updates as the campaign progresses.
