The automaker Lucid Motor has unveiled the most affordable rear-wheel-drive variant of the Air sedan. This update came from the brand’s own site, presenting a new entry point in the Air lineup.

The base Lucid Air Pure RWD carries a price tag of 77.4 thousand dollars (roughly 7.7 million rubles at the time of publication). It is driven by a 436-horsepower electric motor that propels the car from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in about 4.5 seconds. With a single charge, the vehicle delivers an official range of 660 kilometers, matching the performance of the more expensive all-wheel-drive model that features a 487-horsepower system.

The interior showcases a 34-inch curved display that supports Apple CarPlay, while the cabin offers a comprehensive set of driver-assistance features powered by twenty sensors. An optional audio system can deliver sound through 21 speakers, enhancing the in-car entertainment experience.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Sapphire variant represents the Air’s most premium all-wheel-drive configuration, with a starting price around 250 thousand dollars. Its electric powertrain delivers 1,234 horsepower, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in about 1.9 seconds and a travel range of 687 kilometers on a full charge.

Earlier, authorities in the Russian Federation approved a localization plan for electric vehicles, signaling a strategic move to expand local production and supply chains for EVs.
