AvtoVAZ has paused production of the top-spec Lada Vesta variants, Techno and Techno`24, according to Motor.ru, which analyzes the current price lists for the Vesta lineup across Russia and neighboring markets. In the published catalog, the Techno and Techno`24 trims carry a marker that these configurations are no longer in active production. The same report notes that the fully equipped Lada Vesta NG, featuring an eight-speaker audio system, USB ports in the rear, side airbags, and other premium touches, remains available only in these two versions. This distinction signals a shift in the company’s product strategy for the Vesta family while preserving access to the NG variant at select dealers in Canada and the United States where distribution permits. The automaker’s press office confirmed that the Lada Vesta in the Techno and Techno`24 configurations is presently discontinued, though vehicles may still be found at authorized dealerships. The change was described as a revision of the equipment list, a practical adjustment to reflect current logistics, supplier cycles, and market demand in regions where Lada models are still sold by importers or distributors. In the lead-up to this decision, AvtoVAZ began supplying Lada Granta Cross station wagons to dealership centers. The plant has chosen to offer the model in six trim levels and five color options, with standard white and black enamel and metallic variants in silver, dark gray, and golden brown also available. The Cross variant sets itself apart from the standard Granta by adopting a durable plastic body kit and new tires designed to protect the paint from light off-road use. The tires provide higher ground clearance and are better suited to traverse rough roads, adding a practical edge for drivers who encounter mixed-terrain conditions in daily commutes or weekend getaways. Market observers note that Cross changes align with a broader strategy to diversify the brand’s utility-focused offerings while maintaining affordable entry points for new buyers. Earlier reports indicated that AvtoVAZ also rolled out new Lada versions aimed at tourists, expanding the brand’s lineup to meet evolving market demands and the seasonal travel patterns seen in North American import markets where interest in compact, rugged cars remains steady across provinces and states.
