A recent entry in the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database highlights a convertible stroller that bears resemblance to the domestic Lada Vesta in its overall silhouette.

According to the accompanying visuals, the children’s vehicle is finished in white and could accommodate one child in the rear seat. The doors appear to open smoothly, and the steering column is equipped with a functional dashboard and interactive controls, suggesting a design that blends play with a believable driving experience.

At this stage, no official release date or price point has been announced for the product.

Earlier disclosures indicated that the project had appeared in Rospatent’s records under the moniker First images of Lada Iskra. The concept included practical features such as roof rails, alloy-style wheels, turn indicators integrated into the side mirrors, and a shark-fin antenna mounted on the roof, emphasizing a modern, automotive-inspired look.

The patent documentation points to Steve Mattin as one of the project’s authors. Mattin previously served as design director at AvtoVAZ from 2011 to 2020, a period during which the brand unveiled a refreshed corporate identity and a renewed model lineup. Under his leadership, the brand introduced the contemporary Lada Vesta and Lada XRay, along with a cohesive, modern aesthetic that shaped the company’s direction for years to come.

On a related note, reports have surfaced about AvtoVAZ’s plans to address cruise control issues in the Lada Niva Travel SUVs through a product recall. The developments signal ongoing efforts to refine and align the lineup with evolving technology and safety standards.
