Lada Granta Classic’22 Anti-Crisis: What’s Included and Price Implications

The official Lada dealer network has been informed about the suggested retail prices (RRP) for the Granta in the anti-crisis Classic’22 configuration. Russian Automobile published a dealer document detailing the equipment package for this sedan variant. The factory-set price for such cars is listed at 675,900 rubles. Earlier, there were unconfirmed reports that the Classic could cost around 640,000 rubles.

As is known, anti-crisis configurations produced under the latest technical regulations may omit several electronic safety systems and comfort features, and they often use a lower ecoclass engine. The document makes it clear that the Classic’22 version does not include ABS+BAS and ESC systems, airbags, ERA-GLONASS, a security system with immobilizer, or seat belt pretensioners. Air conditioning is also absent, which becomes particularly noticeable in hot weather.

Power is delivered by the VAZ-11182 engine, rated at 90 horsepower. This is a recently updated eight-valve unit from VAZ. In the initial configuration, the environmental class is Euro-5. According to preliminary data, anti-crisis versions may move to Euro-2 in terms of emissions, though the engine power shown in the document remains unchanged

Despite the limited feature set, the Classic’22 package does include some practical conveniences: electric power steering, power windows for the front doors, heated windshield and side mirrors, central locking, and audio pre-wiring for four speakers with an external antenna. The central question now is how much dealers will add to the listed price once factory shipments resume after a prolonged pause.
