The basic version of the Lada Aura is planned for sale in Russia at a price range of 2.6 to 2.8 million rubles, signaling AvtoVAZ’s push to broaden its mid‑size sedan lineup for local buyers and fleet operators alike.
The base model is designed for use in taxi fleets, offering a practical balance of efficiency and value within that price bracket. The focus is on delivering dependable performance and lower operating costs to everyday commercial use while remaining comfortable for city and highway trips.
The most equipped Aura will carry a price tag above 3 million rubles and will showcase features drawn from Aurus components, including a premium audio system, a rear seat with adjustable settings and massage, and genuine leather trim throughout the cabin.
Earlier statements from AvtoVAZ leadership indicated that the Aura price would exceed 3 million rubles and that serial production of the sedan was planned to begin in September, reflecting the company’s intent to convert announced plans into a concrete production schedule.
The anticipated production rate for Aura next year was projected to rise, potentially reaching up to 2.5 cars per hour and even up to five cars per hour under favorable conditions. This would depend on amendments to public procurement rules that prioritize locally assembled machines. At the time, AvtoVAZ aimed to commence production of the Lada Aura flex sedans in early September 2024 and to assemble up to 3,000 units by year’s end.
Aura measures 4661 mm in length, 1764 mm in width and 1496 mm in height. It is powered by a 1.8-liter Evo engine delivering 122 horsepower, paired with a transmission sourced from the WLY company, a part of the Chery group. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10.2 seconds, signaling a balanced performance profile suitable for everyday driving and fleet duties.
