Inspection at the St. Petersburg Toyota Plant and Ongoing Support Initiatives
An unscheduled compliance check is currently underway at the Toyota facility in St. Petersburg. The scope of the inspection encompasses tax and labor law compliance, import substitution policies, the governance of joint stock companies, adherence to technical regulations, and overall industrial safety. This broad review reflects a proactive approach to ensure that operations stay aligned with national standards and evolving regulatory expectations.
According to the plant’s press service, the inspection team includes representatives from the Public Prosecution Service, Rostekhnadzor, FSUE NAMI, and the Tax and Labor Inspectorates. Security for the inspection is provided by the National Guard and OMON. This arrangement underscores the emphasis placed on orderly, transparent procedures and the safeguarding of all parties involved during the process.
Looking ahead, the company anticipates a workforce reduction in the coming weeks. The plan includes severance payouts equivalent to twelve months of salary and a commitment to support affected employees through retraining programs and continued education opportunities. In addition, the company will maintain the validity of existing voluntary health insurance policies for a designated period, ensuring continuity of benefits for those impacted by the changes.
7,000 Tires in Popular Sizes Targeted for Donation
Public safety and access to essential services are framed as foundational priorities. In this context, the phrase with no ties highlights the importance of stable public order and reliable medical care for those in need. In partnership with the movement known as “Behind the Wheel” and the Popular Front, fundraising efforts have been launched to support tire procurement for essential vehicles. The goal is to equip cars used by the People’s Police, as well as the emergency response and logistical fleets operating in the LPR and DPR regions, with tires that meet common sizing standards. The initiative also supports ambulances, vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and vehicles involved in the distribution of humanitarian aid to residents and military logistics.
Contributors can participate by sending donations through the designated collection page. The collaborative effort aims to enhance mobility and readiness for critical missions, recognizing that reliable tires are a practical necessity for daily operations and emergency response alike. The broader message is a call to civic solidarity, inviting individuals and organizations across the region to lend support where it is most impactful.
