Great Wall Motor, the Chinese automaker behind the Haval line, unveiled the new Haval logo for Russia through its official press channel. The company described the emblem as a symbol of rapid growth and forward momentum, preserving a clean, minimalist look with a concise color palette. The brand’s name, Haval, is explained as stemming from the English phrase I have everything, a nod to confidence and completeness in driving choices.

In 2023, Haval expanded its footprint in Russia, selling 111,700 vehicles and marking a substantial rise from the previous year. The growth rate reached 3.3 times the 2022 figure, underscoring a strong rebound in interest for Chinese automakers among Russian buyers, as well as broader shifts in the region’s SUV and crossover market.

The best-selling Haval model in Russia for 2023 was the Jolion crossover, with 55,500 units sold, a triple-digit increase from the prior year. The Jolion’s popularity reflected its value proposition, combining modern design, practical space, and competitive pricing in a market that prizes comfort and practicality. In second place came the Haval F7, preferred by 16,300 customers, marking more than a doubling from the year before. The F7’s appeal lies in its balanced performance, technology features, and efficient packaging that suits urban and suburban drivers alike. Third on the list was the Haval Dargo, with 14,900 units sold, showcasing demand for a rugged, capable SUV that blends off-road readiness with everyday usability.

Earlier updates noted a temporary halt in January on deliveries of five Chinese models to Russia, signaling adjustments in supply chains and strategic planning for the brand in the country. This pause appears to have been a tactical move as the company calibrates its lineup and distribution to meet evolving market conditions while continuing to emphasize the appeal of Haval’s core crossovers and SUVs to Russian consumers.
