The Geely Atlas Pro crossover will remain on sale in Russia even as a new generation model enters the market, according to Avtostat, which cites the brand’s press service. The stance highlights Geely’s strategy to maintain a presence across different segments in the Russian automotive landscape while introducing updated options for local buyers.

Geely announced the price range for the new Atlas crossover on 17 January, with the model starting at 3.2 million rubles and rising to 3.5 million rubles depending on the chosen configuration. Under the hood sits a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. This powerplant pairs with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and is paired exclusively with front-wheel drive, aligning with the model’s focus on efficient performance and urban usability.

The entry-level configuration bundles a suite of features that emphasize comfort and convenience: 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof with rails and a sunroof, eco-leather interior trim and seating, ambient interior lighting, and heated seats for all occupants. Inside, drivers can expect a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch central touchscreen, along with dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, an electromechanical parking brake, and a 360-degree camera system among other modern amenities that broaden the Atlas Pro’s appeal in the market.

Geely began selling Atlas Pro crossovers in Russia in June 2023, introducing a new variant powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine. This smaller displacement engine produces 150 horsepower (255 Nm) and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive driving the front axle. This option complements the lineup by offering a lighter, potentially more affordable choice while maintaining the brand’s reputation for efficiency and performance in dense urban settings.

Earlier reports noted that the best-selling crossover in Russia at the end of 2023 was the Chinese Haval Jolion, underscoring a competitive landscape in which Geely models compete alongside other mainstream and regional rivals. The ongoing presence of Atlas Pro alongside new-generation offerings signals Geely’s intent to provide a diversified range that can satisfy different customer needs, from practical daily commuting to more premium travel experiences. The brand’s strategy appears to reflect a broader emphasis on value, technological features, and regional adaptability, ensuring that existing Atlas Pro customers retain access to a familiar model while new buyers discover newer options in the lineup.
