The Front Line run, organized with support from the DOSAAF of Russia and the Union of Cities of Military Glory, with backing from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, is planned to begin in Moscow at 10:00 am on September 11. The starting point will be the Eternal Flame on Poklonnaya Hill, and the route will conclude in the village of Perekop in Crimea, with participants expected to arrive on the evening of September 25. A formal launch ceremony will precede the run at Poklonnaya Gora, inviting Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexei Shaposhnikov, senior city officials, and leaders from national public and veterans organizations for the ceremony.
Route along the front line
The Front Line motor rally, which also includes the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and the liberated areas of Ukraine, as well as to personnel from units taking part in a special operation, will traverse three hero cities and nine military glory cities:
Moscow – Tula – Orel – Kursk – Belgorod – Stary Oskol – Voronezh – Rostov-on-Don – Anapa – Kerch – Simferopol – the village of Perekop.
In total, participants will travel 3,670 kilometers.
An important roundtable is planned in the Rostov region with representatives of defense organizations from the LDNR, highlighting ongoing cooperation and support mechanisms.
“We’re Not Leaving Ours Behind”
The rally aims to support the decision by the Supreme Commander of the Russian Armed Forces to carry out a special operation to protect residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, while also serving a humanitarian mission. Anyone may contribute by transferring funds to DOSAAF Russia or by contacting DOSAAF offices in Moscow, Tula, Orel, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov, Krasnodar, and Crimea. The collection of humanitarian aid will continue throughout the event and beyond.
Since the operation began, DOSAAF Russia has already gathered more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid and raised over 80 million rubles. The effort will extend during and after the rally.
Tasks of the rally “Front Line”
Ukraine-related events have underscored the importance of instilling a patriotic spirit and a sense of duty in younger generations. The aim is to ensure that people honor past sacrifices and understand the significance of the efforts made in defense of the homeland.
One approach is to offer not only humanitarian assistance but also moral support to people in friendly republics and liberated areas, alongside clear backing for the personnel of units taking part in operations, through both words and deeds.
Equally essential is involving young people in preserving the memory of fallen heroes and educating them about the country’s history. The Front Line rally advances this goal by routing through cities that hold military glory and by promoting continued engagement with communities along the path.
The rally also seeks to foster positive relations with residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as with those in the liberated regions and across Ukraine, contributing to broader regional understanding and cooperation.
