At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Fiat rolled out a special Giorgio Armani Edition version of the 500e hatchback for the United States. The reveal is part of Fiat’s ongoing collaboration with the iconic fashion house, and the automaker highlighted the limited nature of this model as part of a broader celebration of Italian design. The Giorgio Armani Edition brings together Fiat’s compact electric city car with Armani’s refined aesthetic, creating a vehicle that aims to appeal to buyers who value style as much as efficiency. Fiat’s brand press service notes that the edition is a crafted blend of fashion and mobility, meant to resonate in the US market.

To mark the 125th anniversary of the Italian brand, the Giorgio Armani Edition carries a distinctive exterior color and wheels bearing the GA initials, while the cabin features wood trim on the dashboard. The exterior accents and the interior materials align with Armani’s elegant design language, providing a premium feel that sets this version apart from the standard 500e. The edition also upgrades the experience with a 10.25-inch infotainment system display, a panoramic sunroof, and a six‑speaker JBL audio system, all designed to deliver a refined urban commuter experience. Fiat’s brand press service indicates these elements were selected to emphasize a seamless connection between fashion-inspired aesthetics and everyday usability.

Powering the Giorgio Armani Edition is an electric motor delivering 119 horsepower. The hatch accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, reaches a top speed of 151 km/h, and offers a cruising range around 240 km. These specs place the car squarely in the practical urban EV segment, where brisk acceleration for overtakes and city driving efficiency are prized by buyers who value both performance and eco-friendly operation.

Earlier this year, Genesis, the luxury brand controlled by Hyundai, announced updates to the GV70 crossover in the United States. The refreshed model signals Genesis’s continued push to refine its design and technology in a competitive luxury SUV segment.

The GV70 gains a refreshed exterior and a number of technical improvements, including a feature that lets drivers adjust the stiffness of the front and rear dampers during acceleration and deceleration. This tuning capability aims to optimize comfort and handling across varying road conditions while maintaining composure under dynamic driving. In a further step toward enhanced assistance, front-facing cameras are used to read the road terrain in front of the vehicle, contributing to safer steering and proactive car control.

In terms of powertrains, the updated GV70 remains available with two gasoline engines and a hybrid option, giving buyers a choice between traditional performance and electrified efficiency within the same design language.

Also in Los Angeles, Kia introduced an updated Sportage, continuing the trend of major brands showcasing refreshed models at the same event.
