Exeed, a brand under the Chery umbrella, will begin selling the refreshed VX crossover in Russia on December 14. The updated model carries a price tag of 6.5 million rubles, marking a 1 million ruble increase compared with the pre-restyling version, according to Auto.ru Magazine.
The Exeed VX is powered by a two‑liter petrol engine delivering 249 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. The facelifted variant introduces an eight‑speed Aisin automatic transmission, stepping up from the previous seven‑speed unit. This change is presented as a first for an Exeed model. The crossover also features an upgraded all‑wheel drive system built with BorgWarner components for enhanced traction.
Inside, the dashboard has been redesigned to accommodate a three‑screen setup: a central 15.6‑inch display, plus 12‑inch screens placed in front of the driver and front passenger. The gear selector has moved to the steering column, and the audio system now boasts 23 speakers. The publication notes that plans are in place for a future version of the updated VX to offer second‑row seating with individual captain chairs. Sales of the refreshed VX are scheduled to commence on December 14, with dealers expected to highlight the new interior layout and improved onboard tech to prospective buyers.
There was also confirmation that five new models will be introduced in Russia under Chery’s NEV sub‑brand, signaling a broader push into electrified offerings alongside the updated VX.
