The St. Petersburg based electric vehicle producer, Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus, has begun taking orders for the initial batch of EVM Pro models. These are commercial electric vehicles designed around a UAZ Pickup chassis, offering an estimated range of up to 300 kilometers on a single charge and capable of carrying a payload of one ton.
<p Market observers note that three configurations will be offered: a cargo van for manufactured goods, a eurovan, and an isothermal van designed for temperature-controlled shipments.
<p The company will sell units directly through its own network as well as via the official UAZ Torgmash dealer centers located in Moscow. Based on current plans, shipments of the commercial vehicles are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2023.
Subsequent to the launch, the first 250 EVM Pro units are priced at 4.5 million rubles each. Buyers who choose leasing or credit financing may be eligible for a subsidy of up to 950,000 rubles.
