During the week of November 21 to November 27, Chinese-made vehicles accounted for 33.4% of all cars sold, totaling 3,561 units. This snapshot reflects a sharp shift in consumer preference toward Chinese brands within the market.
Chery emerged as the leading Chinese brand, with 1,256 cars sold. The top model for the brand was the Tiggo 7 PRO, which held the most demand, narrowly surpassing the Lada Granta in the overall ranking.
Following Chery, Haval claimed the second spot with 934 units, and Geely took third with 706 units.
At the start of 2022, the share of Chinese cars in the Russian market did not rise above 10%. By November, amid the withdrawal of several Western manufacturers from the region, that share climbed to over 30%, illustrating how market conditions can drive rapid changes in consumer choices.
