The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, honored Kyuri Chubiev, a longtime resident of the republic, with a cash prize and a new car. This news was shared by Kadyrov on his personal Telegram channel, noting that Chubiev marked his 100th birthday during the centennial celebrations of the Chechen state.
Another elderly recipient received the “100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chechen Republic” medal. The car type was not disclosed, and no further details about the purchase were provided.
Kadyrov explained that, in light of both Kyura Chubiev’s personal centennial and the republic’s centennial milestone, the same award was presented to him. He also received keys to a car and a cash prize funded by the ROF named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, according to the Chechen Republic’s leadership statement.
The award ceremony took place during the 100th anniversary celebration of the Chechen Republic and the Day of Civil Reconciliation and Unity, held on September 6 at the Dagun Omaev Celebration Palace in Grozny. The event coincided with remarks from the Russian leadership, including President Vladimir Putin, who congratulated the residents of Chechnya on the republic’s centennial amid ongoing military actions in Ukraine and acknowledged the valor of Chechen fighters.
Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that he has no plans to step down from leadership, aiming instead to surpass his own prolonged tenure record of 27 years in power, according to publicly shared statements from the head of the republic.
