AvtoVAZ announced an additional working day on March 23 for employees involved in the assembly of the Lada Granta and Lada Niva. This information was reported by Interfax and attributed to Sergei Zaitsev, who heads the plant’s main union organization.

According to Zaitsev, the Lada Granta assembly line will run a 12-hour shift and the Lada Niva line a 9-hour shift on Saturday, March 23. He noted that compensation for the extra work on leave would follow the terms of the current collective agreement.

Details on the exact number of vehicles to be produced during these additional shifts were not disclosed. The company’s annual production target for 2024 remains set at 500,000 cars.

Prior to this arrangement, AvtoVAZ workers were also scheduled to work on Saturdays and Sundays in February. Reports at the time indicated around 800 cars were assembled over those weekend shifts.

Earlier information referenced the Evolute i-Jet and its pricing within Russian assembly contexts, though specifics were not provided in these notes.
