Lada Vesta Gets Cruise Control and Enhanced Safety Features from AvtoVAZ
AvtoVAZ has begun equipping selected Lada Vesta models with a cruise control system, according to the automaker’s press service. The feature is being rolled out to vehicles that already arrive in the basic configuration, signaling AvtoVAZ’s intent to boost comfort and safety for both routine city driving and longer country trips.
In official remarks, dealer centers were told that the initial batches of Lada Vesta cars equipped with cruise control have started to arrive. The system is designed to automatically maintain a chosen speed, reducing the need for constant throttle input and easing long-distance driving for drivers in the United States and Canada who are increasingly seeking modern driver-assistance options. The announcement also notes that the speed limiter function works in tandem with cruise control to cap the maximum speed at a level set by the driver, providing an additional layer of safety and control on highways and varied road conditions.
Earlier statements indicated that AvtoVAZ has secured an airbag supplier for both Lada Granta and Lada Vesta models. The airbags have completed a full testing cycle, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to occupant protection and compliance with international safety standards.
Additionally, AvtoVAZ continues to produce Lada Granta cars featuring the EnjoY Pro multimedia system. This refreshed infotainment option is available for both sedan and hatchback variants, expanding connectivity and entertainment choices for drivers and passengers alike.
There were prior updates noting preparations for the serial production of the Lada Iskra model, highlighting the brand’s broader product development plans. The company’s ongoing enhancements reflect a strategy to introduce practical, customer-focused features across its lineup, while preserving the distinctive Lada design language that has characterized the brand for decades.
