Russian automaker AvtoVAZ has suspended production of Lada Iskra test vehicles. reports Public page of the Avtograd social network “VKontakte”.
“Test LADA Iskra cars from January 20, 2025 to and including January 20, 2025 will not be assembled on line 5. There are not enough components, in particular there are problems with interior plastic,” the public message says.
Lada Iskra will be offered in sedan, station wagon and Cross station wagon body styles. It was previously reported that the new model will receive three types of power units: a base 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 90 horsepower, combined with a five-speed manual transmission, a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 106 horsepower, with a six-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission. The Cross version will have three headrests behind the rear seat, Vesta multifunction steering wheel, electric windows on all doors, air conditioning and sound system. It was previously stated that Lada Iskra will be available in gray, brown, red and white color options.
