Russian company Avtodor plans to create a database that will collect images of all vehicles driving on toll roads. reports Kommersant cites the head of the company Vyacheslav Petushenko, who says that this should be done to combat non-payment of travel fees on toll roads.
“Without creating a database of all users (and registering all vehicles), it is impossible to achieve 100% fee collection. Now the main task is to create a user base within the framework of the legislation and digitize the maximum number of vehicles,” Petushenko said.
He noted that if the license plate is covered with snow, but the car was previously used on Avtodor toll roads, the neural network will remember it by brand, color, chip on the glass, antenna. In this way, it will be able to identify any car. As a result, it will become clear who should be billed for the trip.

The document states that the Prosecutor General’s Office plans to check Avtodor for compliance with federal legislative requirements.
NAS Deputy Chairman Anton Shaparin had previously sent a letter to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to oblige the state company Avtodor to put in order the infrastructure on toll roads.
