Production of the Lada Aura business class sedan could start in September 2024. reports TASS, citing AvtoVAZ vice president Sergei Gromak.
“We plan to launch several new models in the next two years. <…> Next year the e-Largus electric car will be launched in Izhevsk. Lada Aura business class sedan will be launched in September,” the agency quotes Gromak as saying at a roundtable at the Federation Council.
The extended Aura sedan based on Lada Vesta was shown in Sochi in June 2023. The car is equipped with a 1.8 engine with 122 hp. and automatic transmission.
According to the vice president of AvtoVAZ, the plant plans to launch a new Lada Iskra model at the beginning of 2025 and an urban crossover on the Vesta platform at the end of 2025.
Before that AvtoVAZ introduced Sports Niva with 150 hp engine.
