The electric vehicle fleet in Moscow will reach 315 thousand vehicles by 2030, that is, 6.8% of the passenger car fleet. In this respect he is writing “Kommersant”, citing the forecast of the Moscow Ministry of Transport.

After this indicator is achieved, the electric vehicle fleet is planned to begin “independent active growth”. By this time, it is planned to install 12.6 thousand powerful charging stations on the streets of Moscow, adjacent areas and garages. It is also planned to impose an obligation on developers to install another 5.5 thousand chargers for electric cars in the parking lots of residential buildings. Relevant standards will be included in urban planning regulations.

At the hearing in the Moscow City Duma, Deputy Head of the Moscow Transport Department Alexey Mityaev said that currently about 5 thousand electric passenger cars are in operation in Moscow and there are 220 city charging stations. According to him, the electric vehicle fleet in the capital should increase to 63.7 thousand units by 2025 and 315 thousand units by 2030.
